Here is the basic panel mounted. The MDF frame still seems a bit large. I may trum off the top.

Airspeed
This is my first instrument based on the Simkits USB model. It works pretty well. Its a little jerky, that may be normal as this is my first one. Calibrated easy, but mounting the back plastic cover eluded me, so I just used electrical tape.

ThrottlePitch
You will see the throttle, pitch and mixture controls. The sliders off the old Simhawk. To the right is the rod off the yoke and control for pitch. This will need to be mounted higher, so I need to build a support.

New sitffening mounts in place. Metal skills are weak, but it works. You will see the dial Potentiometer in the end of the yoke. I temp wired it to my Sidewinder board, and all worked well.

Pitch Control
Closeup of pitch control. Idea is the rod pivots slidely front to back and that moves the spring mounted control. It worked in the simhawk, should be able to make it work.

Switches
I was able to reuse keys from Simhawk. It has 4 postions, so I will probably skip "off" when I hook it up. I also picked up som swithches from radio shack. They will need to wait for the Simboard before operation.

ThrottleQuadrant
The re-used knobs from SimHawk. Off course I scratched the paint when I pop rivoted a backer plate because the pre-cut holes were too big.
